Pregnancy & birth will change you, one way or another. How that unfolds is unique to each person. Maybe you need emotional and physical support, information, or someone beside you who has been through it before. That is where I step in! The roles that I have in relationship to being your doula are the following:
To encourage your growth in prenatal, labor and delivery, lactation and perinatal education
To facilitate your acquisition of resources pertaining to your particular needs
To support peaceful relations between you and your medical professionals
To provide emotional and physical support in the childbirth process
To inspire your confidence as a mother and help you prepare for the incredible adventure of growing your family
Why I'm a Doula
The experience of pregnancy and birth has evolved over the years, especially in today’s modern era. I believe that the need for caring, sensitive and knowledgeable support during this time is becoming more and more apparent. I honor all family dynamics and unique situations. I see every pregnancy and birth as a miracle and as a Doula, I feel honored to be able to support women and families in Southwest Florida.

Meet Amy Lynn Kucharski
Amy is a woman’s woman. You know, the kind of woman who digs deep into the riches of relationships. The kind of woman who respects the Matriarchs for their wisdom and contributes to those in emotional need by giving soulfully from within herself.
Amy was born and raised in Fort Myers, Florida. In 2001, she made her way to Chicago where she completed her B.A. in Arts & Entertainment Management. After an exciting yet grueling and unfulfilling 10 years in the fine-dining restaurant and entertainment business, she had a life and career changing epiphany. It went as follows: “I am a woman who serves. Who is in need of my acts of service?”
In 2013, that epiphany became a reality when she began caring for very elderly women in what felt like her first “mothering” role. Amy believes that the vision is only the first stone on the path and that the actions that follow are the stepping stones that take you to your true purpose. She has walked her path by caring for these women, her own grandparents and the children and loved ones of others and became a mother herself in 2016. Her heart overflows with joyful love and gratitude.
The evolution of Amy's career has repeatedly found it's place in the care of women. And the manifestation of her life’s work is her fondest professional role yet-- it is that of a Doula.
Providing physical in-person support, being intuitive, emotionally attentive and utilizing her colorful knowledge of pregnancy, birth and early parenting has made an incredible difference to the clients Amy serves.
Amy is certified through DONA International, the leader in evidence-based doula training, certification and continuing education, and is also a trained Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypno Doula. She is nurturing, compassionate, patient and kind. And when it is necessary, she knows exactly how to reach in and unlock the power in others in order for them to own their experience and create a life altering story.
Amy recognizes each client’s birth as a unique opportunity for a woman to find herself as a mother and she considers it a privilege each and every time she is invited in to support that journey.
